This is your invitation to a spectacular opportunity to attend the 2008 International Quilt Festival® in Houston, Texas followed by a relaxing seven-day Caribbean cruise loaded with quilt related fun.

Our tour is scheduled to begin in plenty of time to take advantage of Festival’s early-bird classes (optional) and allow you the option to attend the grand-prize winner announcement on Preview Night.  Our 4êhotel is the Hilton America’s Houston which is the only hotel connected to the George Brown Convention Center and less than a 5 minute walk to one of the best quilt shows and exhibits in the United States.  These quilted textile exhibits are among the finest anywhere and with vendors from the world over, you will easily see why this is known as the “International Quilt Festival®”.  Our time here will include 5 nights deluxe accommodations, a get acquainted dinner “Texas Style”, a multi-day pass to the Festival, a special lecture by Texas' own Marcia Kaylackie, author of Texas Quilts and Quilters: A Lone Star Legacy; plus plenty of time for optional classes, enjoying the show and exploring the Houston area.

Following our 5 days in Houston, we will be met by our deluxe motorcoach for a short ride to Galveston, TX to depart on our 7 day Caribbean Quilting Cruise with teachers Julie Wallace (Australia) and Lisa Erlandson (Texas).  Each will have a fun and original quilting project that will blow your thimbles right off your thumbs!

The cruise begins on Sunday, November 2 and we will be heading into the sunset onboard the Carnival Conquest® sailing the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean for seven incredible days. Our cruise will include some wonderful time to enjoy the restful seas and quilting classes and make stops in: Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.  What better way is there to unwind from the days at Festival than enjoying the company of your quilting friends on this special cruise adventure?
