An amazing Provençial Quilters Retreat
Join Deb Roberts for this incredible Provençial retreat that includes a week in Provence and 3 days in unforgettable Paris. Activities planned will include fabulous French fabric shops and outlets, art and antique textile museums, antique shopping, quilting classes, fabulous food, vineyard and wine tasting tours and more. We will be staying in a private Provençial villa situated among the vineyards and lavender fields of the Luberon, near Gordes, what could be more perfect?
Featuring Deb's "Freedom to Fly" program, you are not tied down to a single
airport or flight itinerary, which will allow you to arrive and depart at your
leisure, from your home airport or that of a friend. You choose your
schedule, and if you like Deb will assist you with your flight arrangements.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Paris, the afternoon is free for you to explore before meeting with Deb at our Paris hotel for a get acquainted reception and orientation.
Day 2: Depart on TGV train from Paris to Avignon. We will be picking up our vans at the train station and make our way to our private villa - our home for the next 7 nights.
Day
3-8: What's not to do in Provençe? It is the best time of year to be in
the South of France; the lavender will be in full boom and the sunflowers at
their peak. We will make day trips to the historic cities of Avignon and
Arles, see the famous Pont du Gard, visit incredible museums filled to the brim
with samples of Provençial quilts, go to the town markets, indulge our whims in L'isle sur la Sorgue
(France's antique capital), explore the kitchens of the world's finest chocolate
emporium, quilt and learn the art of boutis (making French quilts),
enjoy
vineyard tours with wine-tasting and more. It will truly be a respite from
the day to day routine in one of the world's most beautiful places.
Day 9: Today we will leave Provençe but our memories will forever be with us. Our TGV will take us back to Paris for a free afternoon.
Day 10: Depart for the airport at your leisure
