Join Sue Spargo on our 10 day Quilter's Tulips & Windmill river cruise through the canals of the Netherlands and Belgium.  This fabulous cruise promises to be an inspirational journey you will not soon forget as together with Sue, we will discover the beauty of tulip season in this part of the world.

Our journey will take us on a walk through the colorful acres of tulips at Keukenof Gardens, where we will get a sense of the Netherlands' extraordinary connection to the tulip blooms.  We will also visit the UNESCO heritage site of the Kinderdijk to better understand  how these historic windmills have been used to protect the Low Country from ever-rising water levels for centuries.

Enjoy the picture-perfect villages of Ghent, Hoorn and Rotterdam as well as uncover the rich treasures at Amsterdam's world-class museums.  Along our way, we will stitch and savor Dutch delights and Belgian treats as we sail through these two amazing countries surrounded by water.

Sue is preparing an exclusive project just for those who join her on this adventure.  There are no formal classrooms onboard our ship, however Sue will be available to assist you with your project during cruising hours.  Our Quilters Journey with Sue will provide ample opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of those who share your passion for her artistry while enjoying the beauty, history and culture in this part of the world.

Cruise Itinerary:

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Capital of The Netherlands, Amsterdam is renowned for its museums, colorful gardens, abundance of bicycles and endless lattice of canals.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The Dutch Golden Age’s legacy lives on in gilded manses that line Amsterdam’s canals and in the lush paintings that adorn the Rijksmuseum.

Hoorn, The Netherlands

Founded in 1300, Hoorn was named for its horn-shaped harbor along the Ijsselmeer, the artificial lake created by massive dams.

Arnhem, The Netherlands

A picturesque former Hanseatic League city nearly destroyed in World War II, Arnhem is graced with an array of beautiful parks and gardens.

Kinderdijk, The Netherlands

The South Holland village community of Kinderdijk includes a set of 19 windmills and other ingenious technologies built in the 18th century to control flooding.

Antwerp, Belgium

Antwerp’s Cathedral of Our Lady, Belgium’s largest Gothic church, is a masterpiece of murals and stained glass.

Ghent, Belgium

Ghent, once a center of the flower seed and bulb trade, has a long and colorful history. From here, the Leie River is your gateway to Bruges.

Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Rotterdam, at the heart of a maze of rivers and artificial waterways, is considered the world’s largest port.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

City of charming canals, elegant gabled houses, Rembrandt and van Gogh, Amsterdam is a delight to explore.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Amsterdam’s patchwork of waterways forms about 90 islands that are connected by 1,500 gracefully arched bridges.
