Bali has long been a center for fabric manufacturing, with a rich history in textile arts. Our expert guide, deeply knowledgeable in Bali’s arts and textile culture, will lead you through every step of your journey around the island. A highlight of the tour is our exclusive visit to the Hoffman California-International Fabrics batik factory, where you’ll gain firsthand insight into the batik-making process and learn about the Hoffman family’s significant contributions to the island. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to create your own batik in two different settings. As you witness the intricate process and try your hand at batik-making, you’ll develop a deep appreciation for these incredible handmade prints.
Come along and create your own batik fabrics, shop for textiles where batiks average less than $2.50 a meter, savor delicious local cuisine, meet warm and welcoming islanders, and soak in the vibrant colors, beauty, and inspiration that Bali has to offer.
WEATHER -Bali is approximately 8 degrees south of the equator. So, you can expect a tropical, warm and humid climate all year around with two main, distinctive seasons: DRY and RAINY.
The best time to travel to Bali depends mainly on the weather, the rainy season is from October – mid April, the dry season is from May – September. We plan our Batik Lover’s Journey to take advantage of the best weather Bali has to offer, hopefully avoiding the torrential downpour possibilities of the rainy season.
